Hot Springs International Horror Film Festival 
 
   The Hot Springs Arts and Film Institute presents the 2nd Annual Hot Springs International Horror Film Festival (HSHFF).  The HSIHFF is set to bring together filmmakers, fans, and film fanatics for a fright-festive weekend packed full of films from all over the world.  From killer shorts, to full-length feasts of terror, films from the horror, sci-fi, and thriller and fantasy genres will all be represented. for more info www.hotspringshorrorfilmfestival.com


   A cinematic celebration that deftly merges educational opportunities, extraordinary screenings, celebrity appearances, and all of the natural scenic beauty that has come to characterize Arkansas. 

    A slew of competitive categories—including Horror, Thriller, Science Fiction & Made in Arkansas Films—promise a diverse range of intriguing and spooky material during this festival. "Top Festival Films" will be complementary entered into Film-Com's "Direct Project Presentation to Film & TV Executives and Financiers."  Tamara Glynn Hostess of the festival, played "Samantha Thomas" in "Halloween 5" and will be in attendance to help scare up some fun, alongside an accomplished “who’s-who” of horror film favorites.

   This 4-day event unfolds at the Central Theater in Hot Springs, Arkansas. October 23rd-26th 2014, it will be host to insidious indie films, blood spattered scream queens, and inspiring films. The theater is one of the oldest in the United States located in Hot Springs National Park, also known as the “SPA CITY”. The city hosts famous "Bathhouse Row” with Museums, Art Galleries Gift Shops and more all within walking distance from festival activities and is well worth a visit!

   Besides the incredible, films, guests, special events, seminars and filmmakers, some festival attendees will have a chance to participate in a film project. “HOWL of a GOOD TIME,” is a demonstration and educational program sponsored by the film festival. Audiences are encouraged to watch the making of the film and even be a part of it. (Casting call: will be announced on our website). The Script “HOWL of a GOOD TIME” was written by Patrick Rea, and is a horror/comedy about “a day in the life of Modern Werewolves.” Patrick, is a festival winner from 2013, and his recent film “NAILBITTER” was released by LIONSGATE ENTERTAINMENT. Equipment and crew members for the filming of “HOWL of a GOOD TIME” include: “LEVIATHAN,” (a 32’ camera crane made by UNIVERSAL STUDIOS and used by the horror master himself, “Alfred Hitchcock.”) Bart Mastronardi, Professor of Cinematography at the New York Film Academy, Tamara Glynn, Actress/ Hostess, Renea Geerlings, Producer/Co Hostess, Justin Beahm, Actor/Editor Fangoria Magazine, Bill Volland, Festival Director/ Art Director along with other celebrity guests to be announced soon.
